This is a crosspost by fenzo666 from the new PKM Database
The last time you saw the PKM Database, it was closed down under shady circumstances and replaced by a mysterious countdown timer. However, at exactly 12:00 PM today, the timer has been replaced with an entirely different website: the new PKM Database!
To clear up any confusion: no, Nintendo did not really send us a DMCA complaint. There was never anything of the sort. We were never going to take the Database completely offline. We just needed some kind of excuse to take the website offline for a week. Sorry if you were fooled - we hope that the new Database will make up for everything you've missed.
The most noticeable difference with the new database is the new, redesigned interface. We've totally reworked it, switching to a content system like the main site. Also like the main site, the front page is now a news section where news on events will be posted regularly.
With the launch of the new PKM Database comes a plethora of new features, many of which will be released in the coming weeks. First off, we have three new legitimate wonder cards - the infamously elusive WCS Milotic from Japan, and both wonder cards available in the new Pokemon Ranger game: the Almia Darkrai, and the Kyle Riolu. A big thank you to NTR-AAQE-USA for supplying these wonder cards!
We couldn't quite get a complete GBA event collection on day one, so that feature is currently offline. Rest assured, we will be uploading a huge GBA event collection will be taken online in the next week or so. All of our D/P events, however, are completely online, and are now available in both PKM and wonder card form!
Another feature that is currently being worked on is the EventDex, a complete listing of all Pokemon events in the GBA and DS eras. Each EventDex entry will include. The EventDex is currently halfway done (you can see a preview of it here) and will be released soon.
Last but not least, all this would not have been possible without the contributions of our members. All of our wonder cards, all of our PKMs, and most importantly, our motivation, comes from the community. Thanks everyone!
I would also like to thank the following people for helping me create the new Database and for making major contributions: Poryhack, coolbho3k, SCV, Sabresite and Illithian.
Enjoy the new PKM Database and click the "Add new comment" link to tell us what you think of the new database!
P.S. Keep your eyes peeled, because within the next week, you will see many more updates including the EventDex, a new logo, a complete PKM Database, a GBA Event Download section and more!
